No More Device Restrictions
In March 2026, GOATY moved all AI body tracking to our servers. Your phone simply sends camera frames — our infrastructure does the heavy computation. This means every device that previously couldn't run Live Lessons now works: budget Android phones, older iPhones, Samsung Galaxy A-series, Google Pixels — all of them.
If your device has a camera and can open a web browser, you can use every GOATY feature: swing analysis, GOAT scoring, AI chat coaching, voice coaching, and Live Lessons.
How Does It Work?
When you start a Live Lesson, your phone's camera sends video frames to GOATY's servers over a fast connection. Our servers run the AI pose detection — the same motion-capture technology used in professional studios — and send the results back to your phone in real time. Your phone just displays the coaching feedback.
This means your phone's processor, GPU, and RAM don't matter. A $150 budget phone gets the same accurate 30fps body tracking as a $1,200 flagship. The only things that matter are your internet connection and camera quality.

GOATY works on virtually any modern device. Here's what matters:
While GOATY works on any device, these factors make the biggest difference in session quality:
Browser Requirements
GOATY needs a browser that supports camera access, microphone access, and WebSocket connections. The recommended browsers handle all of this out of the box.
Tips for the Best Experience
- Make sure your full body is visible in the camera — from head to feet. Cropping your body below the knees will cause tracking issues.
- Good lighting matters. Our AI tracks you best in a well-lit room. Avoid backlighting (standing in front of a window). An extra lamp or LED panel makes a big difference indoors.
- Use a tripod or phone stand at waist height, 6–8 feet away. A stable, consistent camera angle helps the AI track you accurately.
- Stay on Wi-Fi for the most consistent experience. GOATY sends your camera frames to our servers and gets tracking data back in real time — a stable connection keeps this smooth.
- If you hear audio static or screeching, use wired earbuds or AirPods. Bluetooth speakers can cause interference on some devices.
- If tracking seems off, reload the page (pull down to refresh on mobile). This reconnects to our servers and resets the session.
- Practice indoors — GOATY is designed for it. You don't need a range or outdoor space. A living room with enough room to swing works perfectly.
